Children at the Queens Medical Centre, wards E39 and E40, were entertained and treated to an afternoon of fun and goodies by the organisers of the children’s Festival Gloworm.
The team, which consisted of a Gloworm organisers Gary Allen and Rebecca McGlone, also included a Minion, a face painter and a host of toys, games and more courtesy of this year’s Gloworm Festival sponsors.
Gloworm Director, Gary Allen said “We would like to thank Playmobil, Babease, Toymaster, Yazoo, Drayton Manor theme park and Walking Pet Ballons for their very generous gifts, it really made the afternoon.
“We’d would like to say a big thank you to Pirates Playcentre for supplying us with the character and face painter.”
Gloworm Festival gave out sets of family tickets to the patient’s and their families, the team wanted to offer children and their families a chance to be part of this year’s festival which is held in August at Clumber park.
The popular event is the one true family festival designed for children and families to enjoy play, workshops, theatre and music.
