Raising money and awareness for The School For Parents
Here at Gloworm HQ things are really starting to take shape. The festival is all set to be a corker of a weekend for you and your family to spend some quality time together. We are dotting the i's and crossing the t's to make sure that come August 20th this year, we are ready to rock and roll with the BEST new family music festival the world ever did see.
Not only is the festival going to be superbly magical, but did you know that we are also helping to raise money for a local Nottinghamshire charity? No? Well let me tell you more...
The School For Parents is a pretty special place. Most of the Gloworm team have worked with them in some way shape or form, and when it came to choosing a charity to support with the festival it was an absolute no brainer.
The School For Parents is a school like no other. Their mission is to improve the lives of disabled children and their families through providing educational, welfare and health services. They help and support families who have children with a wide range of disabilities such as Cerebral palsy, motor disorders, head injuries, genetic disorders such as Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy and many many others.
If you really want to know how wonderful they are, watch this video.
The thing about this charity is that the services are free, and that comes at a cost. To keep this vital lifeline running costs in excess of £200k a year. So, with the help of all you lovely festival goers, we are going to try and raise money to help keep this charity alive. We are donating an amount of money from each ticket to the SFP. Not only that, but if you're feeling a little bit lovely, you can donate a little more when you purchase your ticket. How cool is that?
