Gloworm Festival Preparations are in Full Swing!

The Gloworm Festival will be providing a festival full of great music, children’s entertainment, TV characters such as Peppa Pig, Mr Bloom, Ben and Holly and a whole host more over the two days full of fun and excitement.

There will be plenty of great live music, including ‘Toploader’ famous for their hit ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ as well as a DJ set from Dick and Dom, who are Bafta-Award winners for their hit TV show ‘Dick and Dom In Da Bungalow’. ‘Johnny and the Raindrops’, ‘Seas of Mirth’ and ‘Hallouminati’ are just some of the local bands who will also be attending this wonderful festival.

The brand new family orientated ‘Gloworm Festival’ are delighted to announce that IKEA have come on board as headline sponsor for this fantastic event.

The Gloworm Festival, which will be held at Clumber Park on August 20th and 21st is specifically designed for humans and their little people and fits in with the family ethos that IKEA has.

Barbara Harrison, Store Manager at IKEA Nottingham says:

“We’re thrilled to be sponsoring and taking part in this year’s Gloworm Festival. At IKEA we think children are the most important people in the world, and the festival is a great way for local families to come together and celebrate the Wonderful Everyday”.

The family friendly store has two free children’s play areas, one outdoor and an indoor crèche,  meaning that IKEA make every visit to their store an experience not just a shopping trip.

The Gloworm festival is aimed at families with children of all ages. It’s a festival that will inspire your imaginations and invite you to play in a warm, friendly and creative environment.

What makes this family friendly festival that little bit more wonderful is that once you have a ticket there are no hidden costs, apart from the obvious food, drinks, market stalls etc. The rides are free, the workshops are free, and the activities are all free once you are in.

There are a host of activities, games and workshops along with a miniature petting farm.

You can be sure that your day will be jammed packed of fun and entertainment at this unique family festival!
