We can’t wait to greet you all at this years event and welcome you as part of the Gloworm Family, but to make sure you get the best out of the experience, here are our very top tips.

Getting Here

We know that car journeys are the hardest part of ANY trip with the kids, so be sure to plan ahead. Let’s face it, who REALLY want’s to be sat in a car driving past lots of fields that look perfect for running around? We sure don’t! So if you have a long way to travel, maybe bring a few toys and games. Or if you really want to get your kids in the mood for a festival, pop on a few of your favourite tunes and have a boogie, pack some glowsicks for a mobile mini disco, and the jobs a good 'en.

Ear Defenders

Nothing is more important than the welfare of our kiddies. So we would always recommend buying a good quality pair of ear defenders when taking the children to any music event. The great thing is, that they don’t cost a fortune and can be used at lots of different events.

The Sun Has Got His Hat On

Or at least we hope he will, so make sure you do too. Not only should you have your hats on, but sunscreen and glasses too. The sun is a beautiful thing, and we want to keep it that way.

Muddy Puddles

And if the sun doesn’t shine and the rain clouds are out… then lets do like Peppa and get jumping in those puddles! So bring your wellies and your raincoats, and pop them in your boot… just in case!

Like a Bug in a Rug

We want you to be comfortable at the Gloworm Festival, so be sure to pop on some suitable footwear. We have got seating and haybales a plenty to sit on, but you might decide you want to sit somewhere else, so a picnic blanket might be a good idea to pop in the backpack.

Picnics and Snacks

OK so here is where it get’s a little tricky. We love a good picnic here at Gloworm HQ, which is why there is plenty of picnic space at the festival, including a pirate picnic area. You are welcome you to bring a picnic with you on the day. What's tricky about that I hear you say? Well, we've got so many delicious hot and cold food stands at the festival that you'll definitely want to try something, it's just a question of which one to try? You'll be spoilt for choice with the selection food and drink available!

Did I forget to mention we have a number of bars at the festival? I did? Well don’t worry about bringing your own alcohol… because we got that bit covered.

Safety and First Aid

We hope that we wont see any of you in the first aid tent, but sometimes accidents happen, and we are well equipped if they do. But it might be a good idea to pop a sneaky little first aid kit in your handbag.

It’s always a good idea to make note of the meeting point and missing children’s tent when you go to a festival. Arrange a meeting place just in case your party split up, and if someone should go missing then finding them will be a whole lot easier.

Take a look at our Rules and Regulations (by clicking here) and make sure you stay say on site.

Say Cheese

That’s right! Don’t forget the camera. Relive the Gloworm fun time after time by looking at your favourite photos again and again. If you’re feeling particularly lovely, then share them on our social media for us all to treasure forever!

The Most Important Thing… HAVE FUN

That’s right, have fun, let your hair down, be a kid again. This event has been especially created for you and your little ones. Forget about the huge pile of admin you have sitting in the office, or the phone call that you forgot to make. Come and enjoy some extra special family time and play in an environment that that is warm and inviting. Loose yourself in a story, do some yoga, or dance like nobody’s watching. Whichever way you do it. Just have fun.
