ABOUT GLOWORM FESTIVAL

The Family Festival Made for the Whole Family

Gloworm is a family-focused festival created for children and grown-ups to experience together.

Gloworm brings three days of live music, family entertainment, performances, workshops, activities, character meet & greets, fairground rides and much more together in one unforgettable family weekend.

But what really makes Gloworm different?

We're not just family friendly. We're family focused.

Family Focused. Not Just Family Friendly.

There's a big difference between a festival that welcomes families and a festival that's actually designed around them.

At Gloworm, families aren't an afterthought. They're the whole reason we're here.

From the entertainment on our stages to the activities happening across the festival, everything is planned with families in mind.

Children can meet some of their favourite characters, get creative in hands-on workshops, discover new activities, enjoy brilliant performances and ride the fairground.

But Gloworm isn't somewhere grown-ups simply bring their children and watch from the sidelines.

We create entertainment for the whole family to enjoy together.

That means big family performances, brilliant live music and plenty of nostalgia for the grown-ups too. Where else could your family spend the weekend discovering new favourites while also experiencing the gloriously unexpected likes of Paul Chuckle and Mr Blobby?

At Gloworm, the adults are part of the audience too.

Once You're In, The Fun's Included

Family days out can get expensive quickly.

You buy the tickets, walk through the gates and suddenly you're paying again every time someone wants to ride something, try an activity or join in.

We wanted Gloworm to be different.

That's why your Gloworm Festival ticket includes the activities, workshops, performances, entertainment and character meet & greets happening across the festival.

Even our fairground rides are included until 5pm each day.

So when somebody spots something exciting and asks:

“Can I have a go?”

You can say YES.

Yes to the workshop.
Yes to meeting their favourite character.
Yes to the fairground ride.
Yes to trying something completely new.
And yes, they can probably do their favourite thing all over again.

Once you're inside the festival, the main things you'll need money for are optional extras such as food, drinks and merchandise.

One ticket. A whole festival of experiences.

A Festival You Experience Together

Some of the best family memories happen when nobody is standing on the sidelines.

That's what we want Gloworm to feel like.

Dance together in front of a stage. Get involved in an activity. Meet a childhood favourite. Discover something completely unexpected. Watch your children try something for the first time. Camp under the stars and wake up ready to do it all again.

Gloworm isn't about filling a day with things for the kids to do.

It's about giving families time to have fun together.

Whether you're bringing babies and toddlers, adventurous little ones, increasingly hard-to-impress older children, parents, grandparents or a combination of the lot, there's always another part of Gloworm to discover.

Make a Weekend of It

Gloworm takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Thoresby Park in Nottinghamshire, bringing families from across the UK together for one big summer weekend.

You can visit for the day or turn Gloworm into a proper family adventure by camping and experiencing the whole festival weekend.

Wake up at the festival, spend your days exploring everything Gloworm has to offer and finish them dancing together before heading back to camp.

No rushing home just as everyone is having the best time.

Just more time together.

This Is Gloworm

We're a festival where children can be children and grown-ups can join in.

Where discovering something new matters just as much as seeing something you already love.

Where entertainment is chosen for families rather than simply made suitable for them.

Where your ticket unlocks experiences across the festival rather than another list of things to pay for.

And where the answer to “Can I have a go?” is much more likely to be YES.

Family focused. Not just family friendly.

Come and experience a family festival made for the whole family.
