Whats Included

What's Included at Gloworm Festival? More Than You Might Think!

One ticket. So much included. A proper family festival without the constant extra costs.

Ever taken the family on a day out, paid for your tickets, walked through the gates… and then realised that half the things your children want to do cost extra?

The rides. The activities. The entertainment. The little extras that quickly add up.

We get it. And that's exactly why Gloworm Festival is different.

At Gloworm, we believe that once you've paid to bring your family to a festival, you should be able to enjoy an incredible amount of what it has to offer without constantly reaching for your wallet.

That's why we've built a festival where live music, family entertainment, creative activities and even eligible fairground rides during our included hours are part of the experience.

Not just entry to the festival. Actual things to do when you get here.

Welcome to Gloworm Festival 2027, taking place 13–15 August at Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire.

Family focused. Not just family friendly.

What Makes Gloworm Different From Other Family Festivals?

Let's talk about something that matters to every parent: value for money.

When you're planning a family festival, the ticket price is only part of the story.

You want to know what happens once you're through the gates.

Will you need to pay for every ride? Every workshop? Every activity your children spot?

At Gloworm, we've taken a different approach.

We want families to spend their time making memories, not adding up the cost of having fun.

That's why so many of the experiences that make Gloworm special are included in your admission.

Here's What Makes Gloworm Special

  • Live music included. Enjoy scheduled main-stage performances and general festival entertainment without purchasing separate show tickets.
  • Creative activities included. Get involved in a wide range of standard workshops and hands-on activities as part of your festival admission.
  • Fairground fun included. Eligible fairground rides are included until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, subject to safety restrictions and availability.
  • Entertainment for the whole family. A festival programme created with children and their grown-ups in mind.
  • A festival built around children. Gloworm isn't a grown-up festival with a small children's corner. Families are at the heart of everything we do.

Of course, there are some optional extras, and we'll explain those clearly below.

But the difference is simple.

At Gloworm, you don't have to keep spending money to have an amazing time.

Yes, Even the Fairground Rides Are Included!

We know. It sounds too good to be true.

At many family days out, the fairground can quickly become one of the biggest additional expenses.

Your children spot a ride. Then another. Then another.

And before you know it, you've spent far more than you planned.

That's why we're proud that eligible fairground rides at Gloworm are included in your festival ticket until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

No paying individually for every included ride during those hours.

Just the excitement of the fairground and the smiles that come with it.

Individual rides have height, age and safety restrictions, and availability may vary. Rides after 5pm may incur additional charges.

It's one of the things that makes Gloworm such a brilliant family festival experience.

Live Music That's Actually Part of Your Ticket

A real music festival. For the whole family.

Gloworm isn't just about keeping the children entertained while the adults watch from the sidelines.

We want everyone to enjoy themselves.

That's why live music and family entertainment are such a big part of the Gloworm experience.

Dance together. Sing along. Discover new favourites. Enjoy the atmosphere of a proper festival.

Your general admission includes access to scheduled main-stage performances and standard festival entertainment.

No separate ticket needed for each general performance.

And because Gloworm is designed around families, the music and entertainment are selected with both children and grown-ups in mind.

Workshops, Activities & Adventures — Without Paying for Every Experience

Because childhood should be full of trying new things.

Some of the best festival memories happen away from the main stage.

It's the moment your child discovers a new hobby.

The pride of making something themselves.

The excitement of trying an activity they've never experienced before.

At Gloworm, we want children to have the freedom to explore, create and get involved.

That's why a wide range of standard creative workshops, interactive experiences and children's activities are included in festival admission.

Our programme changes each year, but Gloworm is built around giving children plenty of opportunities to participate rather than simply watch.

Some activities have limited spaces or operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Any separately charged experiences will be identified in the relevant programme information.

More opportunities to say "yes, let's do it!"

And fewer moments of having to say, "Sorry, that costs extra."

A Festival Where Children Come First

Not just family friendly. Family focused.

There's a difference.

A family-friendly festival might have a children's area.

Gloworm is a festival designed around children and their families from the very beginning.

Our focus is on creating a place where children aged 0–13 can discover music, enjoy activities, explore new experiences and make wonderful memories with the people they love.

Brilliant for Children Aged 5–10

If you've got primary-school-aged children, you'll know how much energy, curiosity and excitement they bring to a family day out.

Gloworm gives them a chance to enjoy the atmosphere of a real festival while discovering activities, entertainment and attractions designed with younger audiences in mind.

From music and dancing to fairground fun and creative experiences, there's plenty to explore together.

And with so much included, parents can focus on enjoying the day rather than worrying about the cost of every new activity.

Fun for Little Ones and Older Children Too

Whether it's their very first festival or they're becoming seasoned little festival-goers, Gloworm aims to provide experiences for different ages across its family programme.

Check the confirmed 2027 programme for individual activity ages, restrictions and availability.

So, What Actually Costs Extra?

No surprises. No pretending everything is free. Just clear information.

We know parents are understandably sceptical when festivals talk about how much is included.

So we want to be upfront.

There are things at Gloworm that cost extra, just as there are at most festivals.

These can include:

  • Food and drinks from festival traders
  • Merchandise and shopping
  • Camping, unless included in your ticket package
  • Fairground rides after the included daytime hours
  • Any specifically advertised premium or separately charged experiences
  • Booking fees and other applicable ticket charges

But here's the important bit:

You don't have to buy all those extras to enjoy a fantastic day at Gloworm.

There's already so much to experience as part of your admission.

Our aim is to make the optional extras genuinely optional, rather than something families feel they need to purchase to enjoy the festival.

The Real Value of a Gloworm Ticket

Let's imagine a family day out.

You've bought your tickets. You've packed your bags. The children are excited.

You arrive, and straight away they want to explore.

There's music to enjoy, entertainment to discover, activities to try and fairground rides to experience during the included hours.

At Gloworm, those standard experiences are part of what your admission pays for.

You're not starting from scratch every time your children find something exciting.

And that's why we believe Gloworm offers such fantastic value for families.

It's not just about how much your ticket costs. It's about how much your family gets to enjoy for that price.

We want you to leave Gloworm thinking about everything you've done together — not how much extra you've spent.
