Launching this week, Blue Peter brings you the Six Badges of Summer! A brand new initiative designed to keep kids across the UK busy, entertained and active as they join BBC Children’s biggest ever challenge to earn their very own collection of Blue Peter Badges.
They’ll be cheered on from the side-lines across the six weeks by a host of celebrities and presenters including Chris Martin, Andy Murray, Alex Scott, Anne Marie, Steve Backshall, Chris Packham and many more.
Other stars lending their support to the challenge include author Jacqueline Wilson, actress Bella Ramsay, musicians Ella Henderson, YolanDa Brown, Presenters Naomi Wilkinson, Andy Day, Justin Fletcher, Rower Lauren Rowles, Cyclist Elinor Barker, Athlete Laura Muir, the cast of Jamie Johnson, Nikki Lilly and of course Blue Peter presenters Lindsey, Richie and Mwaksy.
There are six badges to collect, and each week new challenges will be set during Blue Peter around their themes. We want kids to be the stars and to show us what they’re doing to: help save the planet, get active, try something new, show their love of music, be a CBBC Super Fan, or by saying thank you to their heroes. For the first time ever we’ll be broadcasting Blue Peter on both CBBC and CBeebies, and younger siblings will be able to join the fun with a limited edition wall chart and sticker pack designed by illustrator Liz Pichon.
